Come and Work in Bermuda

Many people mistakenly believe Bermuda is part of the Caribbean. In fact, it rest hundreds of miles north of the Bahamas in an astoundingly beautiful stretch of the Atlantic. A mere 1046KM / 650MI east of North Carolina, flights from New York and other eastern US cities reach Bermuda shores in less than two hours.

  • The time zone is Atlantic Time, or one hour ahead of New York and four hours behind London
  • The island is an overseas territory of the UK
  • All of Bermuda fits in a cosy 53.7SQ KM / 20.7SQ MI
  • 120KM / 75MI of dramatic coastline

Location

Bermuda’s impeccable location keeps the island warmed by the Gulf Stream and the sun’s rays, but free of the tropics’ relentless heat. It is absolutely perfect.

Climate

The extraordinarily pleasant climate rarely sees extremes of either hot or cold. The hottest part of the year: May through mid-October, when temperatures hover between 75°F / 23°C and 85°F / 29°C

Other Climate Facts

  • During the winter months, temperatures average a balmy 70°F / 21°C
  • Summer months are somewhat drier, but rainfall is spread relatively equally throughout the year
  • Since rainstorms generate the island’s only supply of fresh water, residents welcome the brief storms — however few and far between

Currency

The currency in Bermuda is the dollar.
