Our client holds some of the largest, most prestigious Awards in the UK for their B2B magazine portfolio which includes Retail Week, Nursing Times, Broadcast and Construction News.
The team are responsible for managing over 30 award ceremonies a year. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Events Manager to manage several leading industry award ceremonies. The ideal candidate will already have experience of managing b2b awards and some knowledge of the processes involved in organising an award ceremony.
Reporting into a Senior Event Manager, you will be working on a portfolio of Awards covering maternity leave (6-9 months). You will be responsible for all aspects of event management from the initial planning stages through to running the event on the day. Key responsibilities will include managing event budgets and schedules, ensuring all aspects of the event are managed on time, to budget and achieve objectives.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum of 2-years Event Management experience
- Experience of managing b2b award ceremonies.
- Strong project management and budgetary skills.
- Experience of negotiating with suppliers.
- The ability to work on several projects simultaneously and prioritise.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Good communication skills.
- Be bright, adaptable and enthusiastic.
- Can-do attitude.
- Commercial Awareness.
- Proven track record of delivering successful commercial events.
