Description
This temporary post forms part of a waiting list initiative within the Autism Spectrum Disorders Team based at the Meadow Centre, Solihull.
The ASD team provides a tier 3 assessment and diagnostic service for children between the age of 2 ? 18 referred with developmental delay, social communication difficulties and possible Autism Spectrum Disorders.
The post holder will form part of a multi-disciplinary team and, together with more experienced colleagues, will be responsible for carrying out a range of assessments with children and young people over time and in a variety of locations (home, school, clinic). He/she will also be expected to liaise with staff from other agencies (voluntary, public sector and education). A monthly multi-disciplinary case forum is held where strengths, difficulties, needs and diagnosis (if appropriate) are discussed and the post holder will be expected to contribute to case discussions and then to a joint reporting process.
