Chief Executive - £75-90,000 + benefits – West Yorkshire

My Client is a limited company owned by its member businesses. The Chief Executive reports to a Board of Non-Executive Directors and, with those Directors, define the long-term strategy of the Company. The job holder must manage all aspects of the business including its ongoing financial viability and continually refine and where possible extend, existing products and services offered to members and non-members in order to contribute to the company’s financial well being.

My Client is looking for a senior professional with experience gained at Director level in a private sector company and with a professional or management qualification in a business related discipline. A good knowledge of finance, in particular systems and controls, is essential together with a sound knowledge of the local economy and its characteristics, the local business support network, and of the issues facing business today. An understanding of partnerships arrangements between public and private sectors and how these influence economic development is also essential.

The post holder must be self motivated with the ability to develop effective personal relationships so as to influence policy makers at local and regional level. Good people management skills must be coupled with strong leadership skills. Presentation skills along with public speaking skills and experience are essential to enable the post holder to succeed in bringing credibility to the role.
